Choosing Chiropractic

Dr Sidhu photoDr. Sidhu’s father had low back pain when she was growing up, and it was a chiropractor who finally helped him get better. That was her first inspiration to become a chiropractor. Later on, Dr. Sidhu got into running and eventually developed an injury that caused her to seek care from a sports medicine MD. This doctor’s “solution” was to tell her to stop running.

Instead, Dr. Sidhu visited her father’s chiropractor. She told him what the sports medicine doctor had said, and the chiropractor was appalled. He told her to start slowly, continue getting adjustments and take it easy getting back into running. She took his advice, and it worked. That’s when she decided to become a chiropractor herself and help others in the same way.

Education

After graduating from the University of Winnipeg, Dr. Sidhu pursued her chiropractic education at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. After practicing as an associate in Minneapolis, she relocated to River Heights and opened Kenaston Family Chiropractic with her husband, Dr. Garry Murray.

Celebrating Your Results

Dr. Sidhu loves helping our patients achieve the goals that are important to them, whatever those are. She feels honored to be a part of helping their body heal itself so they can enjoy life to the fullest.

Path to Chiropractic

Dr Murray photoAs a teen, Dr. Murray experienced a problem with his jaw and was unable to open his mouth correctly for a year and a half. He went to dentists, doctors and specialists, and each of them told him there was nothing “wrong” and nothing they could fix. Finally, his mother suggested a chiropractor, so Dr. Murray gave it a try. He was shocked when the chiropractor fixed his jaw in one visit. He decided on his way out to the car after the appointment that he was going to be a chiropractor.

Education

Dr. Murray graduated from the University of Manitoba, and then went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University in Chesterfield, MO. He has family in Winnipeg, and that drew him to open our practice here with his wife, Dr. Sidhu.

Creating Long-Term Health

Dr. Murray understands that exercise, nutrition, sleep and recovery are things that have to be sustainably integrated into life—they can’t be your whole life! He reminds patients that creating health is a lifelong process, not an instant fix.

Away from the Office

Dr. Sidhu and Dr. Murray love spending time with each other! After being together all day at the office, they’re still excited to enjoy their time off together as well. They’re passionate about moving and being outdoors, and some of their favorite activities are paddleboarding, hiking, trail riding and going for walks.

Brittany Clement RMT

Brittany ClementHello, I’m Brittany Clement. I’ve been practicing massage therapy in Winnipeg for the last 8 years. I started my career at Academy Massage and in 2020 I moved to a new Clinic in Bridgewater, Deep Roots, along with some of my co-workers. I really loved my new work setting and quickly built up a following of regular clients. But after a couple years it has become apparent that I need to operate my own practise to better serve my clients and manage my own schedule.

I like to work on therapeutic goals with my clients and specialise in deep tissue. Each person is different and by keeping communication lines open, I can assess the issues and make a strategy to correct them.
